Great commentary on yesterday’s TdF Stage 7.

Ross Tucker and Jonathan Dugas over at their blog, “The Science of Sport,” wrote an excellent piece on the implications of Contador’s move in yesterday’s Stage 7 of the Tour de France. Their main premise, and it’s a good one, is that Contador’s attack was in response to him feeling that he has not gotten the respect from his team he deserves. In effect, he was making a statement *to his own team* that he deserves to be the leader of Astana, and not He Who Must Not Be Named.
