Pointy Helmet is an endurance sport coaching service based in Gainesville, Florida.  Our mission is to provide endurance sport coaching to athletes who place a premium on personal attention, athlete/coach relationships and overall value.  We specialize in triathlon coaching while offering coaching services in a wide range of endurance sports.  

We coach athletes with all levels of experience.  All of our coaches are extremely knowledgeable in the scientific principles governing exercise physiology, exercise science, biomechanics and endurance sport training.

Pointy Helmet coaches strive to develop an intimate athlete/coach relationship.  We realize that a good athlete/coach relationship is built upon mutual respect and trust.  We want you to have confidence in your workouts, and we respect your desires and goals as an athlete.

We know that triathlon can be an expensive sport, especially for athletes on a college budget, so we hire coaches who are willing to provide top-quality coaching at affordable rates.  We offer substantial discounts on all of our services for students enrolled at the University of Florida, because we firmly believe that full-service coaching should be available to those of us who don’t have six-figure incomes (yet).

All of our coaches are certified through USA Triathlon, the governing body for triathlon in the United States. Some of our coaches may have additional coaching certifications in other relevant areas, such as swimming, cycling, running and personal training.

Though we specialize in face-to-face coaching in the greater Gainesville area, Pointy Helmet coaches are happy to provide distance coaching if you’re interested.  Contact us if you don’t live in Gainesville and your training philosophy agrees with ours.
